AI-Assisted SAP Audit Evidence Retrieval is a controlled proof of concept that demonstrates how SAP Purchase Order data can be accessed by an LLM-enabled application using an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server.
In this proof of concept, SAP Purchase Order data is accessed through an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that acts as a governed intermediary between SAP and the AI-enabled application. The AI does not connect directly to SAP or modify source data. All data retrieval is read-only and strictly controlled by the MCP layer.
The AI is used to enhance how retrieved SAP data is presented—such as organizing results, summarizing information, or generating visual views (for example, charts or graphs)—while the underlying SAP records remain unchanged. This allows auditors and control teams to quickly obtain reliable, traceable audit evidence without manual exports, screenshots, or spreadsheet-based workflows.
